Transmuting the present • Securing the future

"Let us do it in a concerted rather than a scattered effort.  Let us plan well. it is necessary to clear the entire city, the entire state." (1)

While groups are currently organizing all around the country to help bring about positive change in the U.S., let’s mobilize to do what we do best to clean up the nation, state by state, by wielding the sword of the word to help clean up America.

“To lessen in force or intensity, as wrath, grief, harshness, or pain; moderate; to make less severe: to mitigate a punishment; to make (a person, one's state of mind, disposition, etc.) milder or more gentle.”  (2)

We invite all our brothers and sisters from around the world to join us in our mission to clear America, if you can, through November 2010. After which time, perhaps we will expand our efforts internationally.

Birthplace and family home of President Calvin Coolidge

Joseph Smith Birthplace Memorial is a granite obelisk on a hill in the White River Valley near Sharon and South Royalton, Vermont[1] that marks the spot where Joseph Smith, Jr. was born on 23 December 1805. The monument was erected by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church), which recognizes Smith as its first president and founding prophet. The LDS Church continues to own and operate the site as a tourist attraction.

Statement of Significance (as of designation - May 16, 2000):
The Socialist Labor Party Hall is significant for its association with socialist and anarchist politics, labor organizations, and Italian immigrant heritage in the early 20th century. Barre, Vermont played a central role in the history of Italian anarchism and militant unionism in the United States, and was the leading place were debates took place among anarchists, socialists, and union leaders over the future direction of the labor movement in America. The Socialist Labor Party Hall, as the primary site for these discussions, embodies the radical heritage and the strength of the union movement during the early 20th century.
