Defending freedom
Freedom is not a political position or a political statement. Freedom is an idea whose time has come, a spiritual quality that liberates the souls of men. Freedom is a principle that needs to be defended. The flame of freedom that burns within you is intended to be protected and fanned to ignite this living fire of cosmic freedom in souls of light the world around. America is a sign and a signet of freedom to the nations. This nation was ordained by God to be the standard-bearer of the path of individual Christhood. America is intended to follow this path of Christ consciousness and to bring that path to the nations of the world. How does this occur? It happens as the flame of freedom is kindled in each heart and is passed heart-to-heart, person to person. Our forefathers founded this nation on the principle of the Comforter. It is America's divine destiny to be the Comforter Nation—to fulfill the mandate given through the prophet Isaiah said, “Comfort ye my people, saith your God.” [Isa. 40:1] The comforter comes to assure the unalienable rights of “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.” These rights represent the freedom to choose to be or not to be. Without freedom we cannot choose the path of soul liberation. We cannot pursue the path of the ascension.

Without freedom we cannot be truly free. Freedom provides us the opportunity to walk the path of becoming the Christ in embodiment, to enjoy the fruits of our sacred labor, the work of our hands and to enjoy the abundant Life that Jesus Christ exemplified for us.
Nowhere on earth is this opportunity for freedom so apparent as in the nation of America. Perhaps this is why so many people from around the world, especially those suffering under totalitarian forms of government, strive and save and sacrifice to leave their own nations to come to America, the land of the free and the home of the brave. They recognize the light within this country and within her people and they come to be a part of it. They come from every race and location to the shores of this great nation to fulfill a destiny that is beyond the stars.
In return Americans are meant to champion every man's right to walk a path of light by demonstrating freedom and representative government to the nations of the world. Those who love freedom are called to be “the anointed” or “Christed ones,” who themselves have the Light of the Christ within them. Without the true freedom we enjoy in America today, there is no individual spiritual path of testing or initiation. Without individual liberty, people are not free to realize the Christ within, to balance their debts to life, known in the East as mankind’s karma, nor to fulfill their divine plan.
The flame of freedom burns as the flame that is symbolized in the torch of the Goddess of Liberty and in the Statue of Liberty. This woman of light is a cosmic mother, a very real master of attainment who is the sponsor of the United States of America even as the master Saint Germain has sponsored the nation of America as a land of freedom and opportunity. Saint Germain ensouls the God-qualities of freedom, mercy and forgiveness. He encourages us to accept the mission of the ages and accept our role as the ones who are the protectors of freedom on earth. He explains that America's destiny is to teach a way of life that is a form of government whereby every living soul may commune with his or her God and cast their vote for freedom. The inner communion with God is the foundation of what is intended to be a form of government of the people, by the people, and for the people in America and everywhere.
